Advanced on-the-fly processing allows for custom PDF specifications including imposition, and documented APIs allow for integration of Pixami into existing press workflows and ordering systems. Our software is integrated to most of the major book printers and yearbook publishers in NA, and we have an excellent reputation for providing consistent, trouble-free PDF files.
Pixami software is hosted in proprietary environments at Amazon Web Services AWS, in several regions across the US, Canada and the UK to allow optimized local performance for our customer base. Pixami’s software platform was developed for high volume photo books and is 100% proprietary, and unique in the industry. Unlike other solutions, Pixami uses the same, single rendering engine to generate pages for both on screen and the final high-resolution print. This provides extremely high performance, and eliminates the possibility of any variation between the on-screen version and final print. As an additional advantage, Pixami’s solution is not tied to a specific browser technology. While the current Pixami UI is HTML5 (since 2016), the platform is entirely portable as necessary to support future technologies.
